Ahh nice
day under the sun sitting in your personal lawn in a country which can never be
like your home country!!! TV is switched on and the scene is set and…………then
suddenly you hear an irritating noise you often hear during the morning news
and then you see what no one on the earth would love to see other than
extremists who every now and then try to disturb the friendly environment of
your country!!!!!
Well to be honest
that was my personal experience! My country Pakistan is one of those countries
who have just got a beginning to the destruction, destruction which Afghanistan
and Iraq have found themselves in!!! Oh yeah I have 1800000(1.8 million) fellow
Pakistanis who criticize Pakistani Government for bringing this to Pakistan.
Well yeah I seriously I oppose my fellow Pakistanis many times. I mean come on
14 presidents have come so far and more than one and half dozen Prime ministers
have been tried but no one yet have been able to fulfill what the people want.
So yeah in other words except the founder and the father of the nation Mohammed
Ali Jinnah no one so far have gone without passing the criticism from the
critics within the nation.
If someone is to create
a list about the problems the public faces in Pakistan, guess what?? Corruption
would top them all!! From the very top like higher level in the Government till
lowest class in population you will find corruption at its best. I remember a
very fine incident regarding bribery (mother of corruption). I was going back
to Saudi Arabia after a quite decent stay in Pakistan. Everything was just out
class in that stay and I was pretty down to leave my Homeland and my family.
Anyways I am a guy who thrive on gaming so yeah I had quite a dozen of DVDs. Custom officers
thought that I was carrying video DVDs which had Osama`s information. So they
decide to cross check my luggage which I appreciate very much! Then suddenly
the custom officer came near me said:
Hey Mate how about you give me some money and I will let you through this
checking process?? And I was like what did you just said
now? Seriously this is just one incident every day hundreds of illegal motor
bikers go through the same process.
Let’s turn our focus on the corruption on
higher level such as in Government offices. Well common sense is leaders of a
nation are from the nation itself so the leaders would also have the same
miracles such as the nation. Let me explain you the bribery system in
Government offices with the help of an incident. A friend of mine got a poor
result in his examinations. Normally we find boys tensed under these situations
but he really seemed happy. Some days later a big party was organized to
celebrate his new result by that guy. Later it was disclosed that that guy used
personal relationship to improve his results. Now the reader may better explain
how a country with corruption at its best can progress? This needs to be solved
I guess. Bribery is just one fine example. Black Money, Swiss Bank corruption
and even in sports such as Spot and match fixing.
Well this need to be
solved on collective basis. I mean awareness in schools would definitely do the
trick. I am sure if this is done surely in some years we would see we are no
different from others and there’s nothing that makes us different………
